Since the closure of Walthamstow we have kept most of our dogs with Paul Young at Romford and Mark Wallis at Yarmouth , Jim Daly at Yarmouth together with unattached Dean Childs, and Kelly Finlay. 

Mark Wallis

Mark took over the kennel license at Imperial Kennels from his mother-in-law Linda Jones in 2005.  Mark was Champion Trainer in 2008 and also 2009.  He recently one the English Derby with Kinda Ready. Mark’s big race successes include the English Derby, Sunderland’s Festival of Racing, The Grand National, East Anglian Derby, Peterborough Derby, Gymcrack Puppy Final, Grand Prix, Essex Vase, Emerald Cup, Monmore Puppy Derby, The Arc together with Trainers Championships just to mention a few.

Paul Young

Paul Young is the Professional Greyhound Trainer responsible for Burton Lodge Racing. He was Romford's winning most trainer in 2009 and 2010 qualifying for the 2011 Trainers Championship with 161 Open Race wins.  Paul recently won the £10,000 category one Peterborough Derby with Lainedans Flyer

Jim Daley

Jim has enjoyed over 25 years working within the greyhound industry. During that time he has been a journalist on the greyhound desk of Racing Post and also written columns for other publications including Eastern Daily Press, Trap2Line and Greyhound Star. Jim also served an apprenticeship with several leading greyhound handlers such as champion trainers Charlie Lister and Linda Jones prior to setting up on his own several years ago. Since taking out a professional trainers license in 2002 Daly has had some excellent results in open race competition. His homebred Jesters Nap giving the kennel a great boost when landing the 2008 Wimbledon Puppy Derby Final.

Dean Childs

Dean is an up and coming young trainer ably assisted by Mim Emmett trainer. Dean only trains a select few for the open race circuit. He is particularly focused on the category one competitions and has enjoyed particular success recently with Lorries Options.

Kelly Finlay 

Kelly has recently decided to train again after spending some time out of the game. She famously worked for Nick Savva as assistant trainer during Westmead Hawks Derby wins.
